3 Phoenix-Area Wedding Venues I Love as a Wedding Officiant
Choosing a wedding venue involves more than finding a beautiful background for your photos. Couples also need to consider how the venue feels with a full guest list, how easily everyone moves between the ceremony and reception and how the venue staff handles the months of planning leading up to the wedding.
In this episode of Houses & Spouses, Ryan Hamilton shares three of his favorite Phoenix-area wedding venues: The Windmill Winery in Florence, SoHo63 in Downtown Chandler and Villa Siena in Gilbert.
These recommendations come from firsthand experience. As the wedding officiant behind The I Do Guru, Ryan has personally performed multiple ceremonies at each of these venues. The wedding photos featured in the episode also come from ceremonies he officiated.
The Windmill Winery
The Windmill Winery offers a rustic, scenic experience that feels removed from the traditional Arizona wedding setting. With both the Barn and the Lake House, couples can choose between two distinct atmospheres.
Sara and Justin, whose wedding Ryan officiated at The Windmill Winery, described it as “a little oasis inside the desert” that didn’t look like other typical Arizona venues.

SoHo63
Located in Downtown Chandler, SoHo63 combines modern event spaces with a walkable location near restaurants, hotels and nightlife. Its different areas allow guests to move naturally from the ceremony to cocktail hour and then into the reception.
Brandon and Kelly, whose SoHo63 wedding Ryan officiated, especially appreciated the convenience for their out-of-town guests. They also praised the venue staff for being available, accommodating and friendly throughout the planning process and wedding day.

Villa Siena
Villa Siena brings Tuscan-inspired architecture and old-world romance to Gilbert. Its stonework, fountains, courtyards and distinctive indoor spaces give the property plenty of built-in character without requiring couples to transform a basic ballroom.
Ryan has officiated multiple weddings at Villa Siena and has seen firsthand how the venue can create an intimate ceremony experience, even with a larger guest list.

Which venue is best?
The better question is: Which venue feels most like the two of you?
Choose The Windmill Winery for rustic scenery and a destination feel, SoHo63 for modern flexibility and Downtown Chandler convenience, or Villa Siena for elegant architecture and European-inspired romance.
